We Don't Water-Manage,
We WATERPROOF, Stopping Water Outside is REAL Waterproofing!
White Bear Lake Waterproofing For Wet Basements And Foundations
Great Lakes Waterproofing has been waterproofing homes in White Bear Lake Minnesota for over 20 years and serving the Midwest for over 48 years! White Bear Lake Minnesota is a just North of Saint Paul and typically has older homes with most of the oldest built in the 1950's.
The White Bear Lake Ground tends to be wetter than normal, holding water more than it's northern neighbor cities which mostly have sandy ground. The wet ground tends to have a spongy, springy feel.
Home to some great hockey teams and a lively downtown, White Bear Lake is a great place for families while still close enough to Saint Paul and Minneapolis Events.
White Bear Lake Wet Basement and Crumbling Walls

This White Bear Lake Home has a wet basement that is most noticable during hard rain storms. The wall to the left is still in good condition while the front wall is degrading and the skim coating is falling off.
The darker areas are moist concrete which turns sandy and any coatings or paints will eventually lose any bond to the walls.
Solid walls are not a good candidate for drain tile with surface water (rain & snow) intrusion. It moves through the middle of the wall and will not be collected by the underfloor system.
Using Great Lakes Waterproofing's Bentonite Injection System, we provided a waterproofing barrier in this area to stop water moving through cracks and holes into this White Bear Lake Wet Basement. Stopping water outside also helps the interior wall dry off and slow down the aging process.
White Bear Lake Drain Tile is not working

About 60%+ of our installations are in homes that have a working drain tile installation.
Unfortunately, besides water, sand and dirt will come in and plug up the system. Most installers leave the plastic channel open a few inches off the floor and with enough rain, water will overflow the drain tile system.
Since we fix these systems with Real Waterproofing, we stop the excess water from entering the basement.
Have you ever noticed that most of the national basement "waterproofing" companies don't have "waterproofing" in their name? They don't waterproof, they water-manage and they have no warranty for basement water like in the photo above.
Fixing other companies faulty installations is our specialty and luckily our costs are usually a fraction of the drain tile price.
White Bear Lake Room Under Garage Leaking Water

We see this all of the time, this White Bear home had an old channel at the floor/wall junction. The installer drilled holes into the blocks to allow water to flow into the channel and to a sump pump.
Guess what mold and mildew love? A nice dark basement with excess water. While we aren't licensed in mold removal, I'm betting the darker areas are not something you want growing in your basement.
This is an excessive amount of water and not normal, this tells us there's larger holes and cracks outside on the basement walls, If your paying thousands of dollars, why not fix the problem instead of putting a band-aid on it that is destined to fail?
Exterior waterproofing is the most effective way to stop water moving through the basement walls, stopping the source of food for mold and mildew.
