We Don't Water-Manage, We WATERPROOF, Stopping Water Outside is REAL Waterproofing!
The Drain Tile Hall of Shame
Since Modern Drain tile or French Drain Systems became popular in the early 1980's, when cities disconnected the city storm drains from your downspouts, it's always been promoted as the best system available. Not only is interior "waterproofing" expensive but there's a lot of labor involved to remove part of the basement floor and the base-material under the concrete.
We don't call systems done on the inside of the foundation "waterproofing" we call these "water-management." While these can be very effective in the right situation and may be the only solution, the right way to waterproof is from the outside, stopping the water for Real Waterproofing.
We've worked with or installed most of these other types of systems but none of these photos is interior work we did.
